Description
A winged figure with curled hair holds a shield directly in front of its torso. The wings extend nearly horizontally from its shoulders, and carved cresting is visible on either side
Heraldry
No heraldic design or tinctures can be made out on the shield. A blazon is therefore not possible.
Condition
The figure, shield and wings are substantially present, although the carving is worn and its surface detail is subdued. The original photograph has limited resolution, so small features shown more sharply in the enhanced image cannot be treated as securely recorded.
