Description
An angel with curled hair holds a shield before its chest. Its wings descend in long, pointed sweeps on either side. Carved foliage and the ceiling’s timber framework surround the figure.

The shield shows no discernible charges or colours, and no reliable blazon can be given.
Condition
The figure and both wings survive, but their surfaces are worn and unevenly coloured. The shield is particularly difficult to interpret. The enhanced image clarifies the overall form; the original photograph remains the reference for individual carved marks.
