Description
A carved and painted half-length angel with horizontally outspread wings, dark shoulder-length hair and a calm frontal expression. The figure wears a pale ochre garment with a blue collar and holds a pointed shield. The shield has a dark field, a pale ermine chevron and three pale organ-like or musical charges, two above and one below.

The form of the three pale charges is unusual and their precise identity is uncertain; they resemble small groups of organ pipes or related musical instruments. The blazon therefore describes their appearance rather than assigning a definite heraldic identity. No family identification is proposed.
Condition
The figure is substantially complete and retains both wings, hands and shield. The face, hair and garment preserve comparatively strong painted detail. The wings retain pale paint and traces of warmer colour, with local abrasion along the feathers. The shield is readily legible, although its dark field and pale charges are worn and scratched in places. Small fixing holes, minor cracks and general surface wear are visible throughout.
