Description
A winged angel fitted into the north-east corner of the bay. The figure wears a dark cap or circlet and a long garment, with the wings rising behind the shoulders. A pale scroll curves diagonally across the body and bears fragmentary black-letter text. One hand appears to support or indicate the scroll.

No heraldic shield is visible.
Condition
The carving remains largely complete, but the painted surface is heavily worn. There are extensive losses from the face, garment, wings and scroll. Portions of the black-letter inscription survive, although individual letters are difficult to distinguish and the text cannot presently be read with confidence.
