Description
A carved and painted half-length figure with a forward-facing head and short dark hair. No wings are visible. The figure wears a dark garment and holds a pointed shield before the body. The shield is covered by alternating red and pale diagonal bands.

Provisional blazon: Bendy Gules and Argent.
In plain English: A shield divided into alternating red and white or silver diagonal bands.
The diagonal pattern is clear, but wear makes the original number and precise sequence of the bands uncertain. The tinctures are inferred from the surviving red and pale paint. No identification is proposed.
Condition
The figure is substantially complete, including the head, hands and shield. The face and garment retain readable modelling, although the surface is softened by abrasion and paint loss. The shield remains legible, with stronger red surviving in some bands and heavier wear in the pale areas. Small holes, scratches and local losses are visible across the carving and the surrounding timber.
