Description
A carved and painted half-length angel with wings rising behind the head, curling hair and an upward-looking face. The figure wears a red garment and holds a pointed shield surrounded by a pale border bearing dark ermine spots. Within the border, the shield is divided vertically into two complex coats containing several pale lion-like animals on red and blue fields.

Blazon: No reliable formal blazon can yet be given.
In plain English: The shield combines two coats of arms side by side within an ermine border. Both halves contain several pale animals, apparently lions, on red or blue backgrounds.
The general arrangement is visible, but extensive wear makes the original divisions, number and posture of the animals uncertain. It would be unsafe to convert the surviving appearance into a precise formal blazon or to propose a family identification without better comparative evidence.
Condition
The figure is substantially complete, including the wings, face, hands and shield. More painted decoration survives here than on several other figures in Bay SA7, particularly on the red garment, blue and red shield fields, and ermine border. Nevertheless, the surface is heavily worn, scratched and pitted. Individual animal charges are fragmentary and locally indistinct, while the pale border and its ermine spots survive unevenly. The overall heraldic composition remains impressive but cannot yet be read with complete confidence.
